Travel Guide to Athens, Greece

Greece is one of the most popular places that people who love traveling usually go.  Greece is known for its rich cultural and historical background way back from the late period to our modern time.

If you happen to land on Greece, don’t forget to drop by to its capital city Athens.  Athens was made the capital of Greece in 1984 and then became one of the most beautiful cities to travel. Athens, Greece is one of the places that can blow your for its historical landmarks and great hotels.

Transportation is not a problem at Athens, Greece for they have a wide range of cars that you can rent.    “Rent a car” vehicles vary from a small Fiat Ciannetto to limousines.  It would be a great help to have a car in your tour to Greece.

Lastly before going out at Athens, Greece, you should drop by to some of its historical sites like The Ancient Agora of Athens. This site is the focus of the political, commercial, administrative and social activity. It was used as a residential and burial area as early as the Late Neolithic period. Early in the 6th century, in the time of Solon, the Agora became a public area. After being destroyed it was repaired again and became a residential area after Athens became the capital of Greece.

The Hadrians’ arch was built by Hadrian to defend the Greece to the invaders.  It was constructed by the Athenians in 131AD, in honor of their benefactor emperor. A series of pilasters and Corinthian columns crowns the arch and it was built with Pentellic marble.
